"A man's face is his autobiography!"
Sometimes great discoveries are made accidentally. Scientists sometimes make fascinating observations without knowing how to explain such findings or their future implications. Astute analysis and innovative thinking can transform these curious moments into profound advances in medicine. Initially conceived to reverse radiation injury in the 1950's, bone marrow - or onomatopoetic stem cell - transplantation represents just such an advance in the treatment of blood cancers including leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. Although it means a second chance for many patients and enables some to even beat their cancer, it is a therapy with serious risks. The treatment itself as well as the long-term consequences of transplantation presents hazardous challenges and you are invited to be part of it.

This story like many other encounters with cancer but yet so different. Blood cancer decided to enter our life in Dec of 2008 and everything was turned upside down. Newly married with many plans for our future we had NO other choice but to fight for his life. From learning how to live, love and accept our destiny we have declared war on Leukemia. A difficult journey to master but together we ere ready to face it ALL. "Healthy living" became an option after learning that a perfect stranger was willing to give us his stem cells. Be part of our battle against Leukemia, and witness how "simple" yet moving a bone marrow transplant can be.
