The Art Of (War) Tourism, is a continuation of my interest in post-war Viet Nam. Every year, the two main war museums in Ho Chi Minh City host more than a half million visitors. They are equally divided between resident Vietnamese and foreign tourists from SE Asia, N. America, Europe and Russia. One of the galleries of the museum exhibits many posters from the American war era showing the solidarity of countries around the world that supported Viet Nam's struggle for independence from foreign occupation. The tourists posing in these photographs not only tell friends and family that "I was here," but, is the continuation of that solidarity with Viet Nam.
