The first wife of the Chief's son. Taken in a village in Masai Mara.
These photographs were taken while I was doing public health research in Kenya in the summer of 2012. They represent just some of the friendly faces I encountered during my time there.

I am doctoral student in the department of maternal and child health at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. I spent the months of June and July of 2012 in Kenya doing qualitative research on gender-based violence in Kibera slum. I also travelled to areas outside of Nairobi, such as Kericho and Masai Mara.
