This work is a kind of a day in the life at the Bishops Masereka Medical Clinic in Kasese, Uganda. I want people to see the dedication and the professionalism of which the team at the clinic showed proof, it was humbling and inspiring. And there was more, there was great kindness and respect.
What I also hope my camera has recorded, are the installations and premises under which these wonderful and devoted people are working. Words like inadequate and unsatisfactory come to mind; the buildings and conditions would be totally unacceptable in our western societies.
This exhibit is dedicated to the people who make this clinic work. They merit better, but what they truly need is an establishment that could be called a hospital.
