
Oscar Colorado (b. 1969) is a photographer who was born and lives in Mexico City.
Oscar Colorado is research professor of photography at the School of Communication at the Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City.
Among his photographic interests include the social documentary photography, contemporary art photography and photography museum.
Social documentary photography
Among his recent works include "H1N1", "Candidate" and "The Dogs of Santiago".
Contemporary Art Photography
Under the pseudonym OKO RöD , Oscar Colorado created "Vansiring" (Defigurement, 2011) to explore the many layers of being. He's currently working on the "Aegypto" project planned to be published on 2014.
Museological Photography
Oscar Colorado works in museographic photography and has completed projects in multiple institutions like the National Palace Gallery and the National Museum of Anthropology and History in Mexico City, the Museum of Art and Science, the Field Museum and the Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Santiago (Chile) or the Espacio Escultórico del Desierto (San Luis Potosí, Mexico).

Oscar Colorado is director of the image agency FotoUP and of the Origins Project.
