Seva is a Sanskrit word meaning service to others. The foundations goal is to prevent blindness and restore sight worldwide.There are over 39 million people who live in darkness around the globe. Ninty percent who are blind live in developing countries where sight is essential to survival. Seva's hope is for a world of healthy and self reliant communities.
This is The Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust ( SNC) one of Seva many branches that serve the unaccessible population of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Their vision is " Service to Humanity" and their mission is " Food for the Hungry, Clothes for the Destitute and Sight for the Blind."
Their pillars of Social Deveolpment include - healthcare, education,women's empowerment, dairy & agriculture, gau seva and relief work.

CHANGING IDEAS AND PROJECT KOLKATA –West Bengal, India
Workshop lead by Ed Kashi and Jonathan Torgovnic. The idea was to teach photojournalists to help express societal issues and work being done by NGOs throughout West Bengal.
Assignment: Kolkata Rescue. CR provides medical services including a mobile clinic that visits slums, orphanages and homeless communities. Basic services include primary health care, vaccination, vitamin supplementation and health education. Work included effectively researching, planning and implementing the best methods to document these operations through photography.

Joined full service photography studio and printing lab operated by a leading travel photographer. Primary efforts centered on scouting locations and making arrangements for travel and teaching purposes. Managed equipment and provided assistance to students.

Participated in field-based photography training programs with two of the world’s largest photographic magazines. Worked with the newest equipment on-location in areas such as Costa Rica, San Francisco, Grenada and Peru.

Facilitated admissions and care for patients in the recovery center of the Pain Management Unit and Gastro Intestinal Labs. Core duties entailed processing paperwork, recording medical histories and checking patient vitals. Reviewed care instructions with patients and managed supply inventory.
