Richard Durnan is a professional freelance photographer and traveler of the world. For over 17 years his adventures and unique perspective allows him to create striking and sensitive images of spectacular landscapes and diverse cultures. Richard specializes in cultural, adventure travel, and sports imagery for fine art as well as advertising, and editorial clients such as National Geographic Adventure and Patagonia. In addition to running his own stock photo company Richard’s work is represented by Image State, Superstock, and Aurora / Getty Images.

Richard resides in Ridgway, Colorado. In addition to local workshops he leads photography trek workshops to unusual places such as Ladakh, India, and the Galapagos, Ecuador teaching students how to create images that celebrate culture, landscape and activities in the outdoors.
