Biography

 Suchitra Vijayan is a photographer and a writer. Previously she worked as a human rights advocate; she was the co-founder and the Legal Director of Resettlement Legal aid Project, Cairo. Her work is an effort to investigate for herself the elusive nature of memory, history and photography. She has been photographing stories along the contentious Durand Line (Afghanistan-Pakistan border) for the past two year.
She graduated from Yale this summer and is currently working on her visual anthropology project titled "Borderlands". Most recently, she was selected to attend the Eddie Adams workshop, class of XXV.
