All way long, the barbed wire entanglements stop anybody to enter the buildings that are not safe. These wires also keep both community soldiers away from each other to prevent any kind of problems along the Buffer Zone.

I was born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1966 and graduated from department of Engineering Sciences in METU in Ankara and MBA in EMU in Cyprus. I took courses on Graphic Design in Kensington and Chelsea College and Photography in Central Saint Martins College and graduated from ‘Photography and Camera Operation’ in Anadolu University. Because of my intense interest on diverse cultures and social issues, my photographs are mostly on people, life, travel and cultures. I took part in two group exhibitions in London in 2008 and 2010. In 2010, I participated in ‘How Much’ Contemporary Art Exhibition in Nicosia. I partook in the ‘Futureless Lives’ group photography exhibition in Turkey and Cyprus showing the life of the Palestinians in Palestinian Refugee Camps of Lebanon. I represented my country in Bashkortostan Photographers Meeting. I have been awarded ‘The best PerformingPhotographer of the Year’ in 2014 in Cyprus. I had my first personal exhibition ‘Exotic Morocco’ in 2014. I also took part in the Documentary Photography Workshop Group Exhibition in Cyprus and “Embodied Spaces” Workshop Group Exhibition in Austria in 2015. My documentary ‘The Years in Between’ have been chosen to be screened in Documentary Photography Days in Istanbul, Batman, Mersin and Eskisehir, Turkey in 2015 and 2016. The same documentary has been awarded the First Place in moving images documentary category and Second Place in general moving images category in Moscow International Foto Awards and also gold medal in Documentary Moving Images in Tokyo International Photo Award. I was invited to Berlin Fine Art and Documentary Biennial in 2016. I had a solo exhibition in Month of Photography Paphos, Cyprus and I am invited a group exhibition in Austria in 2017.
