In this four-week course, you will gain a fresh outlook on how to manage your Lightroom workflow to process digital images faster and with more precise control.
In Lightroom 201, we will delve into more advanced features that might not be obvious at first glance, but that can bring your editing and file management skills to a professional level. We will explore advanced search features including using Smart Collections to auto populate collections within your preset parameters, as well as searching via text, attributes, and metadata. In the Develop module, we will explore the Tone Curve panel for more precise tonal adjustments and work with the Range Mask and Targeted Adjustment Tool for effortless tonal and color control. You will learn how to create and save your own preset brushes and Development presets, and how to match your images using a reference photo side by side.
Lightroom 101 is not a prerequisite for taking this class, however, a basic working knowledge of Lightroom Classic CC is required. We will go over some basics, but the focus of the class is to give you further in-depth knowledge to speed up your workflow and help you edit with efficiency and expertise. Instructor will be available for one-on-one meetings with students as needed.
Note: If you have the cloud based version of Lightroom, called simply Lightroom CC, that is a very different program, mainly used for mobile phones, and we won’t be covering it.
