Paranaíta.

This is a project that documents the people and their way of living in the small town of Paranaíta. Its located in the border of the states of Mato Grosso and Pará in the Brazilian amazon region.

The main purpose of the project is to address how families living in small farms and the periphery of a small town (9.000 residents) handle their lives and provide subsistence for themselves and their families.

Some stories represent difficulties and a diversity of challenges, but other ones are positive life trajectories and economically and socially balanced .

This series of portraits represent some of the individuals living in the region as a small mosaic of the diversity encountered in the project.

The purpose for addressing a social environmental subject comes from the perception that a broad spectrum of the society is unaware of the diversity of lifestyles in the amazon region.
