Life in Schistou refugee camp, Greece
Photographer: Lexie Harrison-Cripps
Exhibit Title: Life in Schistou refugee camp, Greece
There are tens of thousands of migrants in Greece waiting for their asylum interview to determine whether or not they will be permitted to stay in Europe. Whilst they wait they are housed in camps throughout Greece. These images show the buildings and tents that house and support the migrants in Schistou camp in Athens. Some people will have to wait for years before being granted their asylum interview. These people may be considered lucky as they live in air conditioned containers and within a short bus ride to Athens.
