Away From Home

The counseling center of the university is in basement floor of one of the dormitory building and each week session are held for the student.one of the students is listening to the content provide.

In university dormitories of iran. Student based on gender. Faculty, education level and age.these dormitories have always been especially sensitive places.they are supervised and controlled carefully and meanwhile there is even more sensitivity around girl’s dormitories.therefor the lives of the girls living in these places always go on behind fences, behind glasses that with their opaqueness make this space even vaguer, and make it easier to pigeonhole everyone in the predefined structure of the dormitory. In these spatial conditions where emotional and psychological intimacy is rendred colorless. The residents are driven to loneliness and isolation in spite of living in group. But the important point is that regardless of all these emotions and conditions, the lives of these girl are ongoing within these limitations. The photos of this series were taken during three months in the autumn of 2017 in a girls’dormitory in Tehran when I myself was living there.
