Lockdown nr. 1

Sander de Wilde | Brussels, Belgium

Portraits of a lockdown in Belgium.

With visibles feelings of fear, innocence, and even joy, these families pose for the photographer in their garden, window, or other place they can be safely photographed during the (first) lockdown in Belgium in April 2020.

Most of the Belgians thought it was a one time thing, and after these months with homeschooling and working from home, everything would be fine. But it wasn't.

I proposed these portraits as a photojournalistic project, an anthropological  research of the differents communes of Brussels and their inhibatants. (from richer and poorer neighbourhoods)
