Wildlife Conservation and Humanitarian Focused Story Telling
Andrew Palmer is a documentary filmmaker and photojournalist based in Upstate New York. Graduating from the University at Buffalo in 2020, Andrewearned a Bachelor’s degree in Filmmaking and a Certification in Journalism.
While attending the University at Buffalo, Andrew interned as a Staff Photographer for UB's The Spectrum, covering different stories on and off campus. Since graduating, Andrew began traveling around the world. In 2022, Andrew volunteered in Nairobi Kenya, teaching school in a rural neighborhood. In 2023, Andrew volunteered in Namibia doing wildlife conservation and an anti-poaching operation, while documenting the reserve and the rangers. In 2024 and 2025, Andrew traveled to Rwanda, documenting survivors and perpetrators of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi, capturing their testimonies from then, till now, and how they achieved forgiveness and reconciliation. This Rwanda documentary project is currently in the post-production stage.
Notable achievements include one of Andew's photos being published in National Geographic Italia's magazine in April 2024.
