Biography

Abdelrahman Alkahlout is a Palestinian photojournalist from Gaza whose work focuses on documenting war, genocide, displacement, and the lived experiences of civilians under prolonged siege. He began his photographic career during the 2014 war on Gaza and has since dedicated his practice to visual storytelling rooted in testimony, human dignity, and accountability.

Working from within conflict zones, Alkahlout documents not as an external observer but as a survivor and witness. His photographs reveal the human cost of war through intimate portrayals of families, children, hospitals, displacement, and faith amid destruction. Despite being injured multiple times while covering events in Gaza, he continues to work under extreme conditions to preserve visual evidence and collective memory.

His work has received wide international recognition and has been exhibited globally. Alkahlout has received multiple Photographer of the Year titles and major international awards across Europe, North America, and Australia. He believes photography is both a moral responsibility and a form of resistance against erasure.
