Biography

Bartlomiej Rubik is a Polish documentary photographer exploring how faith is expressed through beliefs, ceremonies, rituals and religious festivals across different cultures. For more than a decade he has been developing the long-term visual project Stories of the Sacred, documenting humanity’s relationship with transcendence and spiritual realm.

Alongside this work, his photography explores broader social issues, examining how communities navigate tradition, identity, labour and change, often in remote environments.

Awarded first prize in a photography competition organized by National Geographic and the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, focused on Polish development aid, for work created in Ethiopia.

He worked on assignments for the Aga Khan Foundation in India, documenting projects related to WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) and community development.

His photographs have been published in several Polish media outlets, including Podróże and Poznaj Świat. His work has also been exhibited in museums and galleries, including the Museum of Asia and Pacific in Warsaw.

A photography mentor leading educational workshops and expeditions worldwide, focused on documentary storytelling and visual journalism in destinations such as India, Bangladesh, Mexico.
