Biography

Jennifer N. Fish is a social documentarian, educator, award-winning writer, and policy activist. She brings twenty five years of experience in SubSaharan Africa, with a focus on post-conflict reconciliation, women's rights, and labor justice.  Her work takes form in four books and two documentary films, along with a series of articles and commissioned reports. As a professor of sociology and an international speaker, she uses visual and narrative stories to promote human rights and social change.  Her projects include ten years of work with the United Nations International Labor Organization, twenty years of advocacy for domestic workers worldwide, and a series of exhibitions on women, HIV/AIDS and carework in South Africa, and post-disaster rebuilding in Nepal.
