When you enter the workshop where metal accordion parts are made, you're left deeply impressed. The factory still has old machines in operation, probably from its founding. They're enormous, and a human being seems like a tiny ant in comparison.

Play, accordion.

"It is widely believed that the accordion was invented in Germany in the early 19th century by Friedrichroda native Christian Buschmann. Some also consider the accordion a Russian invention. According to art historian Mirek, the first accordion appeared in St. Petersburg in 1783 thanks to the efforts of the Czech organ builder František Kiršník (he invented a new method of producing sound using a metal reed vibrated by air flow). There are other views on this issue as well" (Wikipedia).
The Tula Accordion Factory has been producing accordions, button accordions,
and accordions since 1930. Production at the factory reached its peak during the Soviet era. After its collapse, musical instrument production declined, but despite everything, the factory continues to operate, albeit with much greater difficulty—after all, the accordion is not as popular today as it once was.
