The Witness for Life event is a Pro Life prayer service that begins with a Catholic mass and then continues with a procession to the Planned Parenthood abortion facility where attendees gather to pray the Rosary.
An organization called NYC4Abortion Rights regularly protests by shouting insults and playing band music to disrupt the prayers. Police presence and barricades are necessary as well as radios for communicating.
Since I began attending and documenting Witness for Life back in July of 2024, the flagship Planned Parenthood location at 26 Bleecker street has permanently closed around April of 2025. A special evening vigil was organized to memorialize the lost unborn lives at the location, and the final Bleecker St Witness was held in May of 2025.
The Witness for Life event has moved on to another Planned Parenthood facility in NYC. There is also a Witness for Life event held regularly in Brooklyn.
This collection of images is intended to support and encourage anyone interested in contributing to a culture of life.
Christian beliefs and interests are a current and growing trend. A marked resurfacing of Christian values can be noted in social media posts and current events involving celebrities and government officials alike.
The dedication to practicing their faith and acting on their beliefs of the individuals depicted in these photos should be inspirational to those who share similar Christian or Pro Life beliefs. Those of all ages gather all year long even during extreme weather and temperatures.
These images demonstrate how simply gathering to pray the Rosary can support and encourage the culture of life through prayer while also serving as a powerful public witness at the same time.
These photographs can be of interest to photography enthusiasts concerned with current issues or religious themes.
