tylerdurdan* (alias of Raffaele Annunziata) is a multidisciplinary author and artist who uses photography as a tool of cultural resistance and political storytelling. Born in the province of Naples, at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, his images embody the tension between intimate daily life and global horizons, between territorial roots and the urgency of contemporary conflicts.
His photographic practice moves between analog and digital, weaving together documentary, generative AI, and lyrical language. Each frame becomes a narrative fragment: from childhood to the peripheries, from consumer culture to collective memory.
With the project Between Gaza and Naples. A Childhood Story, created in collaboration with Palestinian photographer Mahmoud Abu Qaraya, he built a visual bridge between two distant cities, portraying childhood as a universal space of resistance and hope.
His work has been exhibited and published internationally, including Photojournalism Hub, Collater.al, Escape Vision, Social Documentary Network, and at the JSJC Media Conclave in India.
For tylerdurdan*, photography is not just image but a political and poetic act: a way to fracture the surface of reality and open new spaces of meaning.
