COUNTDOWN… 9/11/11
A picture a day – 365 of them, to mourn and celebrate, contemplate and reflect the state of the American ethos. Without a pre-conceived notion of what I am going to take each day for a year, I decided to photograph with a conscious and disciplined effort to record something, whether incidental, banal, metaphorical or iconic that tells me who we are. I let the pictures tell the story, understanding that full well one picture can say very much but that maybe 365 will synergistically awaken new meaning… at least about my own reflections.
My sister, playwright Barbara Cassidy, is writing a thought a day. Both image and text will be married together. (we do not collaborate on each day- they are projects that are independent of the other in the doing stage but will be joined together for the final result). See something...Say something
