According to the National Institute of Drug Abuse, "Every day, more than 130 people in the United States die after overdosing on opioids." In 2019, the American International College (Springfield, MA) campus is immersed in an interdisciplinary investigation of the American Opioid Crisis. Students in Communication classes and Visual & Digital Arts classes created artworks related to aspects of the Opioid Crisis. With the images presented here, students in Advanced Photography class documented aspects of the Opioid Crisis and institutional responses to alleviate the problems.
