Younes Mohammad | Mosul, Iraq

November 12, 2016 - Mosul, Iraq: A young boy from the Ghadesiya neighbourhood was wounded during the battle for Mosul by a suicide ISIS car bomb. He was rescued and treated by medics of the Iraqi army in a field clinic.

The biggest losers of the battle of Mosul were civilian which have no  chance to save themselves from bombardments, snipers and mortars. In some cases, victims have reportedly been killed simply for possessing SIM cards or mobile phones.

Reports reaching UN human rights staff include suggestions that children have been recruited and even forced to carry out executions.

Tens of thousands of civilians are believed to have been displaced in the ongoing conflict, with many being used as “human shields”.

In this story I just show what happened and what I saw in one hour (from 16:06 to 17:00 of Nov 12 of 2016) for the civilians which I saw.

The U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights called for urgent action to aid the victims and survivors amid reports of murder, torture, chemical attacks, the large-scale use of “human shields” and the sexual exploitation of women and girls.
