An image depicting the former Prime Minister Saad Hariri together with his father Rafiq Hariri, is placed on an old building damaged by armed clashes. "Your efforts remain the base for building the country, and your insistence on building it is the constitution you made. Offered by Hage Bassam al Kaakeh". The word "Hage" refers to a person who did the pilgrimage to Mecca. In the pictures it is common to find the name of the person who commissioned them, or the one who paid for them.

Biography

I am an Italian independent photographer mostly focused on contemporary issues.
I was born in Padua and my artistic interests have always moved between many disciplines. Although I got graduated in architecture, both in Spain and Italy, my passion for photography soon evolved into an expressive need and a way to discover, explore and understand, and I am always looking for new projects to get involved with. My interests range from social reportage to architecture photography and street photography, often combining them all. Most of all, I strongly believe in the possibility of producing knowledge through the photographic image, to understand the complexity of today’s world, by better understanding others and ourselves...
