David Sladek is a Czech independent photojournalist living in London. For several years he had worked as a reporter for Czech News Agency and running his own internet news outlet. Since moving to London more than a decade ago he has been focusing his photographic work on life of minorities and subcultures of England. Since 2015 he has been working on his project Unspoken Genocide capturing memories and emotions of survivors of WW2 genocide in the fascist Independent State of Croatia. Since the start of 2017 he has actively photographed protests and demonstrations in London including Brexit and other topics. Having captured almost 100 demonstrations in a unique social documentary style he is now compiling a new book called On the Culture of Protest. Sladek is a keen advocate of black and white and street photography.
